The AQUA Institute is a neutral corporation that provides services for quality assurance. We are one of the most experienced and successful providers of concepts and problem solving in the field of healthcare quality improvement in Germany. The institute was founded in Göttingen in the year 1995 and it has anchored itself in the field of science. AQUA is one of the pioneers of: medical quality circles (peer review groups), the evaluation of new treatment models, the development and implementation of quality indicators, patient surveys, and data driven quality management.
The Federal Joint Committee has commissioned the AQUA Institute with a nationwide cross-sectoral healthcare quality assurance (pursuant to section 137a of the German Social Code, Book Five, SGB V) since the end of year 2009.
